Creating space to provide you with clarity
I am a Leadership Coach who was formerly a Partner and Group Head at Simmons & Simmons and Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman).
I am EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) accredited at Senior Practitioner level.
I work with leaders in many sectors, but particularly with lawyers, on business performance and leadership development. Typical challenges include working under extreme pressure, team dynamics and relationships, organisational change, leadership style, influence and impact, client development, career progression and career transitions.
I offer clients the benefits of having worked for over 25 years in two leading global law firms, both as a leading practitioner and successful leader, during which time I also mentored and coached lawyers in London and abroad. Having experienced the significant benefits that coaching brings (both for myself, and in others), I find it hugely satisfying to help leaders find a way to achieve their goals.

HOW I Work
By listening, building rapport and trust, I create a space in which high quality thinking can occur. Together we explore the particular pressures and challenges that you face, in your own context. By asking incisive questions, I help you to reveal insights and achieve a level of clarity about these issues which you did not have previously, as well as outcomes that work for you.
High performance, high stress environments are both exhilarating and exhausting, and there are often competing professional and personal priorities that need to be navigated. Thus, whilst the context of my coaching is always business performance, it is rarely limited to business issues alone.
By providing both support and challenge, we identify triggers, observe patterns and explore narratives that are either propelling you towards your goals, or de-railing you / producing counter-productive behaviour in yourself or others. This helps you understand more about what is working for you, what needs to change, and how to change it.
Coaching will provide you with new perspectives and clarity that is both liberating and energising, enabling you to find a way to effect change.

FAQs
How you can engage me
I am typically engaged by your organisation to support you. However, I am also happy to work with individuals directly. You are welcome to contact me to find out more and arrange an initial no-obligation conversation to explore how I could be of help to you.
How we meet
I am London based and recommend that we meet in person initially, which can be at your offices or another convenient location. Thereafter, we can continue to meet in person and/or on-line, as you would prefer and your schedule allows. Each meeting will usually be between 60-90mins, around every four weeks. And a typical assignment might be three, six or nine sessions depending on its scope.
HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS?
We identify clear goals at the beginning of each assignment, including specifics of what success would look and feel like to you and, where appropriate, your colleagues, clients and organisation. We check in regularly during the assignment about how you are performing against your original goals and to adapt to any feedback and changed expectations.
